Analysis

The units at Dana 1 Commercial Centre are almost fully occupied with numerous corporate offices, service centres, restaurants, kopitiams and even a police station. Right besides it is the Symphony Group’s headquarters. Perhaps, it still lacks of mamak restaurants and other cheap eateries to serve the staffs who worked in the area.

Unlike other shop-office development, this commercial hub is equipped with basement car park. However, it has become a hassle for visitors and clients to come over as everybody is forced to park their cars at the basement and the ground level car parks are reserved for reservations. However, you will only be forced during mid day, and you would not face the hassle after office hours.

Due to this factor, several restaurants and cafes cannot survive as their target market is only the workers who are working in the area as well as neighbouring condominiums’ residents. However, the crowd for lunch and dinner is great.

Even after 3 years it was completed, this area still looks gloomy until the opening of Symphony’s HQ in 2010. While Dana 1 Commercial Centre has just started to enjoy loads of crowds, it is exposed to the new threats of Citta and the newly launch Pacific Place which is located right besides it.
