Bangsar Utama is and old residential located along Jalan Bangsar in Bangsar. It neighbors Bukit Bangsar to the North, Brickfields to the East, Bukit Pantai to the South, and Taman Bangsar to the West. It consists of residential and commercial buildings.
Bangsar Utama looks like a modern metropolitan city with mushrooms of landed houses, flats, as well as office suites. Though the landed houses are old and completed quite some time ago, it still attracts many city dwellers, property buyers and tenants. Bangsar Village is located within 5 minutes driving distance from Bangsar Utama, which can provide all the daily needs to residents. An alternative will be a 5 minutes drive to Mid Valley Megamall. Besides shopping centres, one can find medical centres such as Hospital Univesity Malaya and Institut Kesihatan Umum within 5 to 10km radius.
In terms of accessibility, there is no doubt that Bangsar Utama enjoys the best access to Kuala Lumpur city centre via Jalan Bangsar, taking less than 5 minutes drive to KL city centre. It is also connected to PJ via the Federal Highway or the Sprint Highway. Furthermore, the New Pantai Expressway begins at Jalan Bangsar passes through Jalan Pantai Baharu, Pantai Dalam, Jalan Kuchai Lama, Jalan Klang Lama, Bandar Sunway and terminates at Subang Jaya.
The Sprint Expressway, at the northern end of Jalan Maarof connects to Bukit Damansara, Jalan Duta, Sri Hartamas, the New Klang Valley Expressway, the Damansara-Puchong Expressway and several suburbs in Petaling Jaya. As for public transportation, the Bangsar LRT station on Rapid KL’s Kelana Jaya Line is located within walking distance from Bangsar Utama, which makes it one of the highly demanded areas for those working in KL city. Addition to that, it is only 5 minutes drive to KL Sentral.

Bangsar Utama has grown rapidly over the years and its property price has gone up tremendously. Addition to that, developments in neighboring areas such as Bukit Damansara and Mid Valley City have also increased the property value at Bangsar Utama. However, it has paid the price in terms of traffic jams.
As one of the area with LRT within walking distance, not only is Bangsar Utama an ideal place to stay but also an ideal place to set up office suites and business. Generally, it is the most ideal place for those who own a job at city centre but want to avoid long distance of traffic jam. Bangsar Utama enjoys the best access to city centre and Petaling Jaya. Though currently there was no land for new development, existing properties still enjoy the market appreciation.
