Kirana (also known as Kirana Residence) is a low density condominium located within the exclusivity of KLCC enclave. It stands next to Ascott Kuala Lumpur, right opposite of Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
Kirana comprises of a block condominium consists of only 66 units. It was launched back then few months before the 1997 Asian economic crisis. The condominium is linked to Ascott Kuala Lumpur by a sky bridge that lets the former’s residents share the latter’s facilities; including housekeeping and launderette. Facilities provided at Kirana include swimming pool, gymnasium and sauna.
Kirana is strategically located along Jalan Pinang, right besides Marc Service Residence and rows of towers comprising of hotels, offices and serviced apartments. Among of its immediate building neighbors are Glomac Tower (under construction), One KL, Wisma UOA I, and Etiqa Twins.
There are plenty of amenities surrounding the area, and most of them are within few minutes of walking distance from Kirana. For a good morning start, you can head to KLCC Park for a jog. Next, get yourself a breakfast at plenty of cafes at Suria KLCC and Avenue K, or a number of Indian cuisine restaurants along Jalan Ampang. Depending on your office distance, you can walk to your office, or use either Monorail or LRT located at Jalan Sultan Ismail and KLCC respectively.
After long and hectic office hours, head down to plenty of exclusive shopping malls nearby. There are Suria KLCC, Pavilion KL, Sg Wang Plaza, Lot 10, KL Plaza and Starhill; all located nearby to each other. Later at late evening, you can hang out with friends and colleagues at several clubs, pubs and bars along Jalan P Ramlee and surrounding area.
Besides that, you can called your friends over and party at Seven Ate Nine Club located on the ground floor. During weekends, pick up your golf clubs and head to Royal Selangor Golf Club which only located few kilometres away.

Kirana is one of the older condominiums residing in KLCC enclave, like Desa Kudalari and Sri Kia Peng. Most owners rented out their units for tourists and short-term stays to gain high rental income. Even though it is quite an old condominium comparing to numerous up-to-date condominiums developed within the enclave, but it still stands out due to its close proximity to the Petronas Twin Towers. Not only that, each unit comes with a large and long balcony that lets its residents to enjoy undisrupted view of the twin towers.
The location of Kirana is very strategic, only few meters away from prime commercial buildings and amenities. Thus, the surrounding roads are quite congested, almost every single hour. This situation is derived by massive motorists utilize the roads to commute to work every single morning and evening during weekdays; go leisure at prime shopping malls located within the “Golden Triangle”; and also go partying at the clubs.
Residents of Kirana may suffer some noise from Seven Ate Nine Club, and rows of clubs along Jalan P Ramlee. Even though those clubs are located quite a distance away, but the noise generated from them are still strong enough to haunt the residents at times. The same fate suffered by residents of Marc Service Residence as well.
Besides that, due to loads of illegal activities and drink-and-drive drivers coming from the clubs, road block is held in front of Kirana almost every weekend after clubbing hours by the police. This causes bad traffic congestion along the road and additional noise pollution.
Kirana is two doors away from the 40-storey Glomac Tower, which is currently under construction. The construction works might produce air and noise pollution in the vicinity. Looking at the positive side, a new pool of tenants will be open up for Kirana once Glomac Tower is completed.
