Corinthian is a freehold and old condominium located in the heart of vibrant KL city centre. It is surrounded by prime office towers and amenities. It comprises of a 20-storey block, which houses 136 apartments with 3½ levels basement car park. It features Roman inspired architecture through its columns, colonnades and arches.
Corinthian is located along Jalan Binjai right behind Nikko Hotel and Menara Citibank. Its other immediate neighbours are Binjai Residency, The Troika, Plaza OSK, Menara Atlan and Menara Tabung Haji. It is just within 5 minutes walking distance to Ampang Park LRT station and KLCC.
Being located in the heart of city centre, there are plenty of amenities located nearby. Just next door of Corinthian, there is a lush landscaped garden of 50-acre KLCC Park for recreational activities. Not only that, Suria KLCC, Ampang Park Shopping Mall and Bintang Walk which just minutes away, offer upscale shopping, cafes, fine dining and entertainment. Plus, Chef Choi Cantonese Restaurant, Pelita Nasi Kandar Restaurant and Lotus Restaurant are all located within short walking distance. It is also meters away from Po Ling Chinese Temple and As-Syakirin Mosque.
In terms of accessibility, Corinthian can be easily reached via Jalan Ampang and Jalan Tun Razak, which have access to Jalan Binjai. Jalan Tun Razak is well connected to SMART Tunnel, Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), KL-Putrajaya Highway and Mahameru Highway. Alternatively, you can reach the condominium via public transports, as there are Ampang Park LRT station and a bus stop located meters away from the condominium.
Just at a glance, it can be seen that Corinthian is not well maintained. It is evidenced by the faded paint on the building. It really needs a fresh coat of paint to revamp its image to regain its status as an exclusive condominium.
Competition among high end residential in the vicinity is very stiff due to mushrooming of plenty of new and modern condominiums. Just meters away from Corinthian, there are several new condominiums such as The Troika, Dua Residency and Desa Kudalari set to win over tenants.
So far, there are still some units at Corinthian that can enjoy some views of Kuala Lumpur skyline. But in few years time, all these remaining views will vanish due to completion of The Troika, a proposed 40-storey serviced apartment next to Corinthian and another office tower construction located meters away.
Buildings surrounding Corinthian are very close to it. Like Hotel Nikko, whereby the hotel and the condominium are only separated by a two-way lane narrow street. Thus, people from the hotel can look through resident’s activity through their windows.
With all these new developments going on, the area will get congested and crowded once they are completed. Traffic jam along Jalan Binjai will also get worse. At the mean time, air is dusty and noise from the construction works can be heard from any corner in Corinthian.
Investment wise, without any renovation work from the management, the price of Corinthian will maintain stagnant at around RM450 to RM500 psf, depending on unit. Its rental rate will remain low around RM3,500. Without a doubt, Corinthian is among the best located condominium in the enclave. It is a great home for urbanite who wants to live in the midst of the bustling city centre, but want to cut budget at the same time.
